Dick’s National Tournament of Champions
to be played in Tampa, FL - January 1, 2 & 3 2010. This is the first year the National tournament has invited U15 teams and LNU is one of only 8 elite teams that will receive a bid to compete for the National title. The tournament has not had a US winner to date at any level. LNU plans to change that!!!

LNU SELECT U15 Wins Georgia Tournament
The LNU Select U15 team went undefeated through the field in the Southeast Championship May 16th & 17th to become the Southeast Championship CHAMPIONS in the A - Select U15 Division. Victories over Charlotte Based Tsunamis, Georgia based Copperheads, Georgia based Jr. Hoyas, The Georgia All Stars and the Charlotte Based Cyclones led them to a final round match up with Top Teir lacrosse. After playing 3 tough games on Sunday, LNU Select faced off against a well rested and fresh TopTeir lacrosse team for the Championship.
Lake Norman United prevailed and became the 2009 champions of the SOUTHEAST CHAMPIONSHIP in Georgia.
Next tournament will be the 2009 Summer Slam in Virginia.
LNU SELECT U11 - 3rd in Georgia Tournament
The LNU Select U11 team was undefeated going into the semi-final round against a tough undefeated U11 Georgia Cherokee team. Game was back and fourth through the final minutes until the Cherokee team scored three late goals to move on to the Championship round.
Lake Norman United U11 team was well represented in Georgia and made a lot of peolpe recognize that lacrosse in the Lake Norman area is for real!
Next tournament will be the 2009 Summer Slam in Virginia.

Lake Norman United has 3 SELECT Teams that will travel to 3 tournaments in Ga., Va. and NC. U11, U13 and U15 will be represented.
